Who belongs

Membership is open to any organization or individual whose business or role touches group travel in the United States, Canada, or Mexico, and to overseas operators that bring groups into North America. Consumers and individual travelers are not members. NAGTA does not license, certify, or inspect anyone; we record what a member says it is, require that the record be accurate, and let members report each other through the dispute channel.

Every member joins in 1 of 7 categories. The category drives your directory listing, which requests for proposal reach you, and the size bands for paid tiers.

Canada and Mexico are part of NAGTA's territory by design, and the join form takes a province or state and a country. Overseas operators that bring groups into North America join in the Planners category as inbound operators. Not sure which category fits? Pick the closest; we correct categories on request and never penalize an honest pick.
